In other words how Russian scammers operate. They operate quiet different to the Nigerian Scammers. The Russian scammers are quiet smooth operators and before you know it you will have spent a few hundred dollars on this beautiful girl who has fallen instantly in love with you. In most cases your profile does not even have a picture.

Most of the Russian scams involve beautiful women. Who correspond with you.
And if you respond to the email address they almost always provide in their first correspondence with you , you will receive a nice long email telling you about themselves and what they have been up to and even more stunting pictures to accompany them.

Once they feel they are drawing you in they usually test the waters by asking you to send them flowers [ROSES] to show them how much you love them. They will provide you with an internet site which does the flowers and can deliver the flowers to them. For those of you to whom the thought does not occur that she might have done this all before The process continues.

Other starters include
1] They are coming to London or New York and would like you to send them a letter with all your details so that they can get a visa.
2] Ask you to call them on a specific telephone number which of course you will get charged at premium rates.
3] Get you to buy them flowers from their chosen websites.
4] Get you to SIGN UP at a dating agency they redirect you to and you will have to pay some money.
5] Ask you for money for their computer usage or to buy a computer or for the internet cafe charges.

Now this list is by no means complete but if there are any new ones please let me know.

Now if you bite the bait they know you are hooked

In the next stage for whatever reasons larger sums of money are required .
1] For treatment of sick child
2] Airport tax or airfare
3] Family hospital treatment charges
4] House needs rebuilding
5] Family are in big debt are you help is need in paying it off so that you lady can be allowed to leave the country
6] College fees
7] Money to make arrangements for your stay when you arrive
8] Big phone bills

Now you can easily add a few of your own but you get the idea.

Also if you do decide to visit they are more than happy to pick you up at the airport. Never let that happen that is a sure way of getting robbed or possibly worse things coud happen as most of these chaps are well connected to the local mafia. If you do decide to take a very risky and expensive adventure than at least let close friends know what you are up to. And book yourself in a hotel away from the town as the local hotel owners are probably in on the act as well.
